ISEE parificato explained: the document that decides your scholarship

Why the ISEE parificato matters, what it contains and the mistakes that delay applications.

By Karan Kumar · 2 Oct 2026 · 1 min read

The ISEE parificato is the "equivalent economic indicator" used for non-EU students whose families' income and assets are abroad. It tells the regional body how much support you need.

What goes into it

  • Family composition (who lives in your household)
  • Income documents for the previous year
  • Property and asset documents
  • Official translations and legalisation, depending on your country's rules

Common mistakes

  • Missing or inconsistent family information
  • Documents not translated or legalised correctly
  • Starting too late; legalisation can take weeks

Tip

Begin collecting documents the moment you decide on Italy. A complete, clean file is the single biggest thing in your control.

Always check the current requirements for Pakistan with the regional body or the Italian embassy.
